‘Devastating’ Hemp Amendment Language Included in FY 2025 Agriculture/FDA Bill

The House Appropriations Committee’s FY 25 bill for the Agriculture, Rural Development, FDA, and Related Agencies Subcommittee released June 10 includes language from ‘the Mary Miller amendment’ added to the draft 2024 Farm Bill that would change the definition of hemp and ban synthetic, intoxicating hemp-derived cannabinoids.
